Nobbys SLSC members have been proudly patrolling Nobbys Beach since the 1922/1923 Season. Surf Life Saving Clubs were established to serve the bathing public by having trained, experienced surf life savers available to patrol our beaches.

Nobbys SLSC conducts beach patrols every Saturday, Sunday, and public holiday from the beginning of the October school holidays through to the end of April school holidays, each Summer season.

The Foreshore is used by many for special events and as such road closures are something that Nobbys SLSC members must consider when coming into the club. Perhaps leaving a little earlier during these events will assist you arriving in time for your Nobbys event.

NOBBYS SLSC COURSE INFORMATION
Surf Education & Training is an essential component of what we do.
We train our surf lifesavers to the highest standard to help ensure that Nobbys Beach remains safe for all visitors.
You can start your community career as a Surf Life Saver as young as 7 years old and continue right throughout your life.
Between the ages of 7 to 13, children you can join the ranks as a Nipper who meet every Sunday morning during the summer months to allow young children to kick start their Surf Life Saving career with enjoyable activities that are age specific, on the beach and in the water.
Members aged from 13 to 15 years can train for their Surf Rescue Certificate and becoming a Rookie Patrol Member.
Members from the age of 15 years are able to train for our “Lifesaving Award” which includes the Bronze Medallion, Apply First Aid, Advanced Resuscitation, Radio Operator Certificate and IRB Crew Certificate which is producing well rounded Patrol Members. For further information click here.

Every Sunday morning during the summer season (October to April) a club swim is held for all members.
Members are invited to stay longer and help out with Water Safety for Nippers. It is a great way to stay fit and stay involved. Water Safety Participants will receive a voucher for a sausage sandwhich and drink combo for helping for at least 1 hour.
Usually, Sunday mornings is are the best time to catch up with the club management committee.
